Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourism entry Numbers from the United States

NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswirein July and August of 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism recorded record numbers of visitors from the United States. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a four percentage increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than 2019.

"It is so exciting to once again see an increase in tourist numbers to Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers for the year 2019," stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States is the most popular destination for Israel inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 Pandemichit, we were celebrating record breaking figures of tourist entry month after month. It's a fantastic positive trend that we're happy to see and we anticipate an upward trajectory for many months to come."

Canada with 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 in August is not far behind the United States.

Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director of Canada for Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that it was exciting to see the Canadian tourism industry to Israel growing.  נווה פריצקי "We are not too far away from our record numbers for 2019, and we are anticipating that this increase in the number of travelers to Israel will further increase as Canadians remain at ease travelling abroad."

Israel received more than 4.6 million tourists in 2019. 969,600 were from the United States. The country's official reopening for all tourists in May was a success, with more than 600,000.
