Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers from USA

NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from 2019.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) declared that it was thrilling to witness a rise in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019, he said.  נווה פריצקי "The United States is our top market for inbound tourism for Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw record-breaking numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel every month. We are so happy to witness such a positive shift and anticipate it to continue for a long time."

Just like the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing the number of tourists visiting Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6000 in August.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that "it's amazing to see how tourism in Canada is recovering." We are close to our record numbers for 2019 and we expect that this growth in travel to Israel will continue as Canadians feel more at ease in Israel.

Israel received more than 4.6 million international tourists in the year 2019 including 969.600 being from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all travelers, regardless whether they have been immunized. The country has already hosted more than 600,000.
